CERTIFICATION PROGRAMMES

Practitioner members of the Chapter may apply for certification as a CVA. The designation confirms to other professionals, prospective clients, and the community at large that the member has satisfied the Chapter's rigorous standards of professionalism, expertise, objectivity, and integrity in the fields of either business valuation or the services that fall within the scope of these disciplines.

GOVERNING COUNCIL

AACVA Chapter has a Governing Body comprising valuation practitioners with experience, expertise and are in good professional standing to contribute both to the development of the business valuation practice in Africa.

CVA EXAMINATION

The certification examination consists of two parts. The proctored portion is Part 1. Part 2 is a take-home/in-office examination incorporating a standardised case study (provided by AACVA) that requires performing a complete business valuation. Part 2 of our examination takes 40-60 hours to complete. The four-hour proctored examination consists of multiple choice and essay questions. It tests applicants on concepts taught during AACVA's five-day prerequisite training programme and recommended pre-read materials. The proctored examination is taken at the conclusion of the five-day training programme.
